My name is Maud, I’m in grade 11 in high school La Mennais in Gérande. I went to Christchurch in New Zealand from 1st September to 15th October. I was welcomed by a very nice family who made me visit a lot of places. I went to Queenstown, one of my favourite places, a city by the sea surrounded by huge mountains. I also had the privilege of going to Australia for a week, which was amazing. I feel that I’m better at English and that I gained in maturity, I’m now more capable of being independent. I went to high school Rangi Ruru with my exchange partner. It was huge, I was a bit lost at first, but I got used to it and the kindness of the teachers and the students helped me a lot. This stay taught me a lot of things and I have great memories about it. I will remember it all my life.”
« Je m’appelle Maud, je suis en première au lycée La Mennais à Guérande. Je suis partie à Christchurch en Nouvelle-Zélande du 1er septembre au 15 octobre. J’ai été accueillie par une famille très agréable qui m’a fait découvrir de nombreux paysages. J’ai visité Queenstown, un de mes endroits préférés, une ville au bord de la mer entourée par de grandes montagnes. C’est tout simplement magnifique ! J’ai aussi eu la chance d’aller en Australie pendant une semaine, ce qui était incroyable. Je sens que j’ai progressé en anglais, et que j’ai gagné en maturité ainsi qu’en autonomie. Pendant ce séjour, j’allais au lycée Rangi Ruru avec ma correspondante. Le lycée était immense, j’étais un peu perdue au début mais je me suis habituée et l’amabilité des enseignants et des élèves m’aidait beaucoup. Ce séjour me laisse de très bons souvenirs et m’a appris beaucoup de choses. Je m’en rappellerai toute ma vie.
